We work to safeguard the rights of foster parents in Oklahoma so they can focus on enriching the lives of foster children.
Initiating a Grievance
This website provides a neutral setting for Foster Parents and Kinship Foster Parents in the state of Oklahoma to submit complaints to the Oklahoma Commission on Children and Youth (OCCY). The purpose of the grievance process is to allow foster parents to work collaboratively with Oklahoma Human Services (or a child placing agency) to solve problems and address issues/concerns related to the Foster Parent Bill of Rights.
All grievances filed through the Foster Parent Voices website are forwarded to the Office of Client Advocacy, within the Oklahoma State Department of Health (OSDH), for processing.
Allegations of retaliation are independently reviewed, within the grievance process, according to OCA policy and applicable state laws.
If you are not sure if you want to file a grievance, please call and talk with an OCA Programs Field Representative (PFR) at 405-522-2720. Calling and speaking with a PFR does not mean you are filing a grievance.
If you need to file a complaint involving issues of child abuse or neglect, please call 1-800-522-3511.
